About Me

Hi, I’m Kaustubh, currently pursuing my Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering at University of Maryland. My research explores advanced state estimation and decision-making for robots, focusing on combining traditional nonlinear observer techniques with cutting-edge AI methods. I’m passionate about building intelligent systems that operate in challenging environments, with applications ranging from autonomous navigation to immersive technologies like AR/VR.

Beyond research, I enjoy mentoring students, developing creative teaching materials, and sharing my love for robotics. In my downtime, you’ll often find me doing some photography, running, cycling, and trekking.
